We spent a weekend with a few friends to taste good wine and food, and sample the glories of autumn.

Poppy craft for Anzac Day

There was a lot of chatter on the centenary of Gallipoli landing about the worth of the ANZAC sacrifice. One fellow was sacked for impugning the general moral character of the soldiers.
The display at Federation Square is irrefutable evidence that, 100 years on, cultural memory of the event is deeply embedded and will not be erased soon.
